Oscar Wallblom, born 23 November 1979 in Gothenburg, Sweden, is a Swedish musician and bassist best known for his long-standing role as a core member of Håkan Hellström’s band, appearing on all studio recordings and live performances since the start of Hellström’s solo career in 2000. He has also played with groups such as Augustifamiljen and Hästpojken, contributing both bass and backing vocals. Wallblom began his musical journey in the vibrant Gothenburg scene, initially stepping into Hellström’s band through connections with fellow musicians and quickly becoming indispensable for his energetic stage presence and musical versatility. In addition to his work as a performer, he co-founded the record label Tamiami Records AB in 2017 to support and release music from friends and collaborators. Over more than two decades, Wallblom’s steady bass playing and creative involvement have helped shape the sound of modern Swedish pop and rock, making him a respected figure in his country’s contemporary music landscape.
