Duty First, Kiss Later (2026)

Set in a small rural town, this drama follows the story of Heisuke Takii, a gentle police captain, and Hide Shiono, an elite officer from the Public Safety Division. Although they live in adjoining rooms at the bachelor quarters, Shiono treats Takii with icy coldness, as if he were a sworn enemy. Yet, beneath that aloof exterior, Shiono harbors romantic feelings for Takii—feelings that intensify when Takii is introduced to a woman. Takii, a man who holds traditional values, had long since given up hope for romance; however, Shiono’s unexpected actions touch him deeply, making him realize that he can find a sense of security by trusting Shiono.
